FIBA AFROBASKETBALL 2017: Nigeria Beats Mali 90:67

FIBA AFROBASKETBALL 2017: Nigeria Beats Mali 90:67.

The Nigerian Basketball national team, the D'Tigers have maintained a perfect start at defending their title and qualifying for the World Cup in China in 2019 by beating their challenger Mali by 90 to 67 points on Saturday night.

They have previously defeated Cote D'Ivoire in a pulsating encounter by 78 points to 77 that saw them coming from 4 points behind towards the closing minutes of the encounter to take the lead and winning the match.

Their performance in their first match, though they won sent fears and doubts into many Nigerian causing them to question the ability of the D'Tigres to defend their title. However, with the sterling performance of the national team against Mali in this encounter, I would not be surprised if Nigerians would begin to change their mind about the abilities of the D'Tigers. The D' Tigers must qualify for the final to qualify for the World Cup.

The D'Tigers next opponent in the group stage will be Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday 3:30 pm.

The floor is now opened . Let's sheer up, and appreciate the D'Tigers.
