The
exit of former Gambian president Yahya Jammeh, who fled to Guinea
Saturday night, January 21, has caused quite an unrest in the country
despite the inauguration of a new leader, Adama Barrow. Coalition forces
of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) who have been
on stand by in Senegal moved into Gambia with a view to securing
strategic positions.
Meanwhile reports have it that guards at statehouse are looting furniture, computers and cars belonging to the state government.
