Contrary to information circulating online,
Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has not removed Mr. Fatai
Owoseni as Lagos State Police Commissioner, MDB can confirm.
Several online platforms yesterday reported that the I.G had replaced CP Owoseni with Mr. Garuba Umar, the Officer in Charge of Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit.
The CP it was said, would proceed to the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, for a leadership course.
But MDB spoke to the Police Commissioner, who laughed it off and said it was false. He added that if a posting were to occur, he would not read about it in the media as there is standard procedure for such postings.
